Alex has assisted numerous clients in various assignments, mainly dispute resolution with the revenue authority, including applications to the Appeals Tribunal and the High Court, lobbying for specific tax reforms in Kenya, advising on market access strategies, succession planning, project management as well as assistance in securing tax refunds and tax refund management.
Through his distinguished practice he has built a reputation for being one of the leading indirect tax specialists in the country and has gained notoriety for being able to provide value adding solutions to complex situations.
He also developed tremendous experience in direct taxes, business planning, training, lobbying and establishment of specialized tax arrangements. As part of his achievements, Alex played a critical role in the establishment of the first private customs practice outside of South Africa.
